After our Amazon Rainforest tour, we decided on a tour of Iquitos City. We went to the Amazon riverfront.
Iquitos city waterfront. Eating Aguaje icecream. Aguaje is a typical fruit from the Amazon. It has a very different taste.
Scenes from Iquitos city. Belen is a floating marketing on the river Amazon. We did not get a chance to go there.
Scenes of the main Amazon river.
Nice waterfront along the Amazon River in Iquitos. We kept our bags at the restaurant “Dawn of the Amazon”. We walked around and then went to Iquitos airport for our flight at 8:10 pm on May 21 to Lima, Peru.
This Spring we visited Vienna with our two young daughters. As always, I did my best, to plan an itinerary that combined historic sites, fun activities and sporadic blocks of free time to be spontaneous (or rest, which is often necessary for the kids!). Traveling abroad with young children can be challenging, and there is no guarantee that the plans you make with them in mind will be received as well as you had hoped.
